Salary and security

The average newly qualified teacher salary in the United Kingdom is £31,200 per year. Entry level positions start at £27,950 per year while most experienced workers make up to £38,450 per year (taken from uk.talent.com). Your salary will be reviewed each year, with most teachers moving up the pay range annually. This will depend on your school’s performance management arrangements. In addition, the teachers’ pension scheme is one of the most generous in the country and includes an employer contribution of 23.6%.
